Here is the final product of our prelim task.
Overall I think with minimal time we have created a satisfactory film. I say 'satisfactory' because there are things i would improve such as adding more shots to make the film more professional and changing the music to create a variety of moods. Because we were filming over two days the continuity could definitely be improved as some of the shots had to take place in different rooms because of other groups using the studio. We also wanted to add some shots outside but due to the life-likeness of the gun prop we were using, that was not possible.
In terms of what we did well i think the simple but effective shots were well executed and the use of a split screen then wipe created more variety rather than just simply cutting between shots. It was effective because the conversation is short and ends abruptly, and so does the split-screen, revealing another character who is behind the shot. Our script was concise but with more time we would have improved it to add more humour to benefit the audience and plot. One thing we majorly ignored was costume for Chloe (on the phone) and Vicky (takes the gun) to make them appear more sinister and more like a hitman, as they just wore what they had on on that particular day.
